Storm

It came upon us and here we sit

Several candles have been lit

The darkness stretches through the night

So quiet, not a sound tonight

In the distant sky with clouds so low

Reflects a soft and eerie glow

A town with lights six miles away

Has nightlife, hot food, a small café

Meanwhile here in Murkiville

We go to bed and take a pill.
